Calling all Market-Lovers!

The Tofino Public Market Society is currently seeking a new Market Coordinator. This is a dynamic position that combines on-site event coordination on Saturdays for the Tofino Public Market as well as behind the scenes administration that can be done from home. The ideal candidate would be willing to wear many hats and perform the variety of functions necessary to keep this beloved community event and small non-profit society flourishing. Duties include supervision and set-up of the Saturday Markets, vendor communications, grant applications and reports, applying for special event permits, managing budget, overseeing or performing social media posts, booking live music, and acting as liaison between the Market's Board of Directors, artisan vendors and the broader community. Hours range from 2-5hrs/week in the off-season to 10+ hours/week during Market season (May Long Weekend through Thanksgiving Long Weekend). This is a part-time contract position and perfect for a friendly and organized market-lover or someone looking to get more involved in community arts and culture or events.
