Modified Tofino Market Opening!

We are excited to announce the season opening of the (Modified) Tofino Market! The Market will be held on the Tofino Village Green Saturdays from 10am-2pm beginning this week, June 27th.

The Tofino Public Market Society exists to promote and coordinate West Coast artisan vendors. To continue to support the livelihoods of our local makers and to encourage the purchase of BC food supply the Market will open for the summer months unless otherwise directed by BC Public Health and the District of Tofino.

The health and safety of our rural communities is an utmost priority as we venture towards opening. We have modified the operating plan for the Tofino Market to be in line with Public Health, Island Health, District of Tofino and BC Farmers Market Association standards due to Covid-19. Among the changes you will see at the Modified Tofino Market will be fewer vendors to allow space between booths, hand sanitization stations, one-way traffic flow, a single entry/exit point and the number of attendees counted and limited to always allow space for physical distancing. We will ask both vendors and Market visitors to come and enjoy but also to respect the signage and boundaries in place to do their part to keep Tofino and surrounding communities healthy and safe.

Though the Market will look different this year, we hope to continue to welcome you to a place where we can #shoplocal while experiencing and supporting the eclectic character of our West Coast arts & culture.
